With a strong plot, varied set of characters, deep and soulful learning, and a conclusion fitting its story's tone, someone can hardly put down “Jaycee: A Heroine’s Journey” as soon as they pick it up and start reading it.
I adored Jaycee and her family while Maggie and Jaycee are an extraordinary pair that stands firm at whatever happens, which one could only dream of having in a friend.
Robert J. Kowalski has a talent for building up a setting and characters that reflect life in its basic structure, without crossing over our essential mankind. This book has everything a book ought to have.
This book takes you on a sort of long journey, but it is worth it in the end. Really, it has something that all of us need to hear, in one way or another/to one degree or another. I recommend it!
What if you can talk to an animal? Or what if an animal talks to you through some kind of telepathic skills? That is mind-blowing. How can that be even possible?
In this book, Jaycee: A Heroine’s Journey by Robert J. Kowalski, this kind of thing happens. The main protagonist, Jaycee Woods, had this out-of-this-world phenomenon. The appearance of a rare white squirrel in her life brought or somewhat opened her mind to the weird and strange things that were happening in her and around her. She felt and sensed that the cute animal was talking to her whenever their eyes locked with each other. It was a fascinating experience and she somewhat believed in it.
This fascinating novel takes me on an incredible mystical adventure and makes me crave for more!
Coming from a male author, Robert Kowalski’s already got me just by the idea of a female Jesus. Now, isn’t that a stimulating concept?
What is in a woman that could make her become like Jesus? The story of Jaycee has made me realize a lot of things but one of the most important ones has to do with being yourself. The essence of a woman may be different from a man but it is her very qualities as a woman that makes her stand out, more than qualified in positions of leadership in the same way that a man would.
Jaycee herself realized in the end her power to make the world a better place and how it can start with her.
A great read! Sweet, simple, and kind.
Jaycee is a wonderful friend and she is going through the same life phase as a normal teenager would.
However, Jaycee is special! She has a unique quality that is spiritual, curious, and accepting of people- even when at times they are not very nice to her. She is expected to behave like a normal teenage lady who is interested in boys, shopping, and parties, but Jaycee is interested in the intangibles.
That said Jaycee became the heroine of this novel because she exemplified how it is to live in peace with herself, not following the crowd and continuously seeking truth in religion and the politics

"I have been looking for books to recommend to our book club, and luckily, I happen to find my way to.. Jaycee... I would recommend this book for our book club"
I want more. This is exactly how I felt after reading this book. I can't help but feel this desire for a sequel of Jaycee's story. I hope the author will keep on writing for the next book. Don't leave me hanging. Author, please. Onegai.
A beautiful book by Robert Kowalski. The plot of the book is captivating because I have always expected that if Jesus returned, he would be a man. But that expectation was turned upside-down with this book. How would we react if Jesus came back as a young woman? I found this to be an intriguing proposition...
As humans with empathy and a moral compass, we must strive for equality. Jaycee: A Heroine's Journey, did a good job of examining what would happen if Jesus existed today as a female. I was impressed with the accuracy of the author's take on a teenage girl's perspective on life. The first chapter details the birth of Jaycee, which was a modern take of the birth of Jesus Christ...

An outstanding, thought provoking book that shines some light on an important and sometimes controversial subject, while also keeping the story lighthearted and fun to read. The author gives a fresh perspective on the role of women in the early church..
This story will make you think! Jaycee questions everything about the way we are living the message Jesus came to teach us and how far we have strayed from that message with organized religion...
